Thanks to both of you! Maida, I’ll check for “Long Way Down.” It makes me think of a book called “Chasing Che,” in which Patrick Symmes, a NY writer, retraces Che Guevara’s motorcycle trip through Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Cuba, 30 years after Che’s death.

Here’s a question: can anybody think of a mega-road-trip taken by a woman?

I’ll watch for Frazier’s books, thanks. If you want to see a great tv show about a motorcycle trip across Siberia, look for “Long Way Down.” Actor Ewan McGregor (from Moulin Rouge and Star Wars? movies) and a friend rode motorcycles from England to the US, via Siberia. It’s extremely entertaining. I hope you can get it on Netflix or something.
